Projects Plan

My plan for HUAWEI project is to start by understanding the content of the HUAWEI PPT. I will look at the content of the PPT separately and categorize the small and large titles that I think can be classified into one category. Then I will start drawing by area, which Ithink will be more unified.

I conducted color research, such as associating the titles with suitable colors. For

example, for titles related to modern technology and digital, I would think of colors like purple, blue, and pink, which have a futuristic and technological feel. For topics related to security and trustworthiness, I would think of protection, comfort, and related words, and colors like deep blue and light pink.

About art style

I noticed that commercial illustrations in Europe tend to be very flat and design-oriented, while those in Asia tend to be more three- dimensional and realistic,which is a significantdifference.

During the initial research phase, I referenced some graphic design, advertising design, and packaging design, as I believed that a flat design style would be more suitable for the

commercial aesthetic and needs of this project.

Final outcome

Digital Inclusion

After conducting my research, I have found that the title "Digital Inclusion" encompasses a wide range of industries related to artificial intelligence and digital technology. Upon careful consideration, I believe that exploring the future of the universe and space is the most representative forefront of this high-tech industry. Therefore, I chose to create an illustration resembling a scene in space.

Digital technology / Digitisation

Regarding the design related to digital technology and digitization, I opted to depict a theme centered around VR technology. In the illustration, you can see two futuristic-looking devices resembling VR controllers positioned below. Through the VR headset, a breathtaking view of a Ferris wheel can be witnessed in the background, showcasing the immersive and exciting experiences enabled by VR technology.

Nature Conservation

For the "Nature Conservation" illustration, after conducting research, I discovered that many illustrations focus on using artificial intelligence to improve the natural environment. Since this is a commonly depicted theme, I decided to create an illustration showcasing the direct results of nature conservation. The artwork depicts a beautiful outdoor scene as seen through a window, emphasizing the positive outcomes of conservation efforts.

Equity and Quality in Education

For the "Equity and Quality in Education" illustration, I noticed that many news articles highlight the use of teams or Zoom for online classrooms, making learning new knowledge more convenient. In light of this, I created an illustration depicting a group of individuals learning together. The background simulates desks, and the people are portrayed as small figures, symbolizing that everyone is connected through platforms like Zoom, emphasizing the accessibility and equity in education facilitated by digital technologies.

Health and Wellbeing

For the "Health and Wellbeing" illustration, I came across news about 3D printers being used to create prosthetic devices for people with disabilities. Inspired by this innovative approach to improving health and wellbeing, I decided to create an illustration featuring a 3D printer in action, producing a prosthetic limb. This highlights the technological advancements that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and promoting wellbeing for individuals with disabilities.

Renewable Energy / Energy Transition

For the "Renewable Energy / Energy Transition" illustration, I drew inspiration from various renewable energy-related devices, with a focus on wind and solar energy equipment, which are highly representative of the transition to clean energy sources. In the illustration, you can see wind turbines and solar panels, symbolizing the shift towards renewable energy sources and a sustainable energy transition.

Waste and Packaging

For the "Waste and Packaging" illustration, considering the prevalent issue of overpackaging, I decided to create an artwork that highlights the problem of excessive packaging waste. The illustration can depict a pile of discarded packaging materials, emphasizing the environmental impact of such practices. While many packaging materials may be recyclable, the overuse of packaging still contributes to waste and environmental concerns, even if they are made from recycled paper.

Environmental Protection

For the "Environmental Protection" illustration, I was inspired by a project I saw during my trip to Milan, where they created green gardens on the upper floors of buildings. In this artwork, I have depicted high-rise buildings with lush greenery on their upper levels, contributing to increased urban greenery and environmental protection.

Green and Low-Carbon Manufacturing and Operation

For the "Green and Low-Carbon Manufacturing and Operation" illustration, drawing inspiration from my previous artwork related to renewable energy and energy transition,I create an image that combines solar energy with sustainable manufacturing and operations.

Healthy and Harmonious Ecosystem

For the "Healthy and Harmonious Ecosystems" illustration, which represents a company providing its employees with a healthy and comfortable environment, my idea is creating an artwork showcasing a beautiful view of nature and a cozy, adorable workspace.

itwill effectively conveys the idea of a workplace that promotes well-being and productivity.

Circular Economy

"Circular Economy" is a rather complex concept. From my personal perspective, it refers to a sustainable economic development model that operates cyclically between nature and humanity. Human beings extract resources from nature, reap benefits from these resources, and then reinvest in the environment to make it more optimized, even though this is a challenging goal to achieve.

Green and Responsible Supply Chain

"Green and Responsible Supply Chain" is about companies providing green protection and fostering green communities for their employees. So, I created an illustration featuring a mini-city with added elements representing supply chains. On these chains, there are green vegetation being transported into the city.

Cyber Security and Privacy Protection

The title "Cyber Security and Privacy Protection" focuses on user privacy and security. In today's society, more people store their personal information on computers and smartphones. Therefore, I created an illustration that resembles absolute security. Even if the computer is infected with a virus, it won't leak personal information, giving the feeling that even a magnifying glass can't find any personal data.

Security and Trustworthiness

"Security and Trustworthiness" is about a company's commitment to protecting and fostering trust among its customers and employees. Therefore, I created an illustration that resembles a cozy home behind a strong, protective wall, symbolizing the security and trust that the company provides, much like an impregnable fortress.

Climate Change

For the "Climate Change" illustration, inspired by the unusual weather events and the most severe consequence of global warming, which is the melting of glaciers, I have created an artwork that captures this pressing issue. The illustration can feature a dramatic scene of a melting glacier, with icebergs breaking apart and the surrounding environment undergoing visible changes.

Cover Beijing

I think it would be great to depict a Chinese backdrop on the cover, so I chose Beijing's China World Trade Center as the setting. It features some unique modern architecture.
